2008 Mercury Mariner

New inside and out, the 2008 Mercury Mariner offers more standard safety features, including Safety Canopy side curtain air bags and AdvanceTrac with roll-stability control system. The ‘08 Mariner's all-new sheet metal includes significant design changes to the front/rear fascias, liftgate, headlamps and tail lamps, a raised beltline, new hood and B-pillar blackout molding. Available in two arrays: Mariner, and Mariner Premier, both are available with standard 2-wheel or optional 4-wheel configuration. Customers can choose from 3-engines: 153 horsepower, 2.3-liter 4-cylinder, 3.0-liter V-6 or 2.3-liter 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle hybrid engine.



Also new for this year, the Mariner Hybrid will be available for the first time in a FWD package, and on the gas models, a touchscreen navigation system is available. Even with more content, the ’08 Mariner base MSRPs will average $1,300 less than 2007 models. Inside the new Mariner, Satin Pewter finishes and chrome accents give an upscale look. There are new seats, door trim panels, A- and B-pillar trims, center console and a new floor-mounted shifter.

2007 Mercury Mountaineer

Built in Louisville, Kentucky, the 2007 Mercury Mountaineer midsize sport-utility vehicle is available in two models – Mountaineer and Mountaineer Premier. Both can be ordered with either 4x2 or all-wheel drive. The Mountaineer comes standard with a revised 4.0-liter V-6 and a 5-speed automatic, while the Premier offers a choice of the V-6 or a 292 horsepower, 4.6-liter V-8 mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Mountaineer’s remodeled 7-passenger interior features an available power-folding 3rd-row seat that provides an absolutely flat load floor for 84.7 cubic feet of cargo room. Front fascia, rectangular fog lamps, satin-aluminum accents, and clear taillights show a subtle evolution of Mercury's design. An all-wheel drive system is optional and includes Ford's AdvanceTrac traction control system with Roll Stability Control. Mountaineer's innovation continues with Mercury-first DVD-based navigation system and power-deployable side running boards.

2007 Mercury Montego

Built in Chicago, the Montego provides a modern move-up, full-size sedan within the Mercury lineup. Heading into its 3rd model year, the 2007 models offers distinctive exterior design; contemporary, roomy interior; and available features such as all-wheel drive responsive handling. Offered in Base and Premier 5-passenger trim levels, the ’07 Montego now comes with standard equipped seat-mounted side air bags, and traction control. New options include SIRIUS satellite radio and 18-inch, 8-spoke, chrome-clad rims. The Montego’s Volvo-inspired platform provides stability, a quiet ride and responsive handling. Strong performance comes from the 203 horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 engine teamed with a premium 6-speed automatic transmission on front-wheel-drive models. All-wheel drive versions use a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Montego’s remarkable 21.2-cubic-foot trunk is nearly 50 percent larger than that of most competitors.

2007 Mercury Milan

Since its introduction in 2005 as a 2006 model, the Mercury Milan has helped bring new energy and new customers to the Mercury showroom. For 2007, the Milan makes fold-down passenger seat standard, as well as anti-lock brakes, and the safety and security package stock equipped on all models. Aimed squarely at Generation X customers, the Milan midsize sedan is Mercury’s entry point vehicle. Standard 4-cylinder delivers 160 horsepower, and can be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic. For even more power, the 3.0-liter V-6 produces 221 horses and is linked with an advanced 6-speed automatic transaxle. Traction control is now standard on V-6 models. At all four corners, Milan is equipped with large power disc brakes tuned for precise stops. In addition to carrying 5-people in comfort, Milan has easy-to-use and flexible 15.8-cubic-foot trunk that boasts a flat load floor and low liftover height.

2007 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

The new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition displays thoroughbred motor-racing attributes, having been developed in close cooperation with the motorsport specialists at the headquarters of the McLaren Formula-1 team in England. For Mercedes-Benz, "SLR 722 Edition" was an obvious name for the new model variant, as it evokes memories of the unforgettable victory achieved in 1955 by the British motor-racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-pilot Denis Jenkinson at Mille Miglia, at the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the start number 722 (indicating a starting time of 07.22 hours).



At the heart of the SLR 722 Edition is a 5.5-liter V-8 supercharged engine, boasting an impressive output of 650 horsepower. It takes a mere 3.6-seconds to reach 62 miles per hour from a stop.

2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class

Major changes took place last year on the Mercedes-Benz SLK retractable hardtop convertible, which gave the premium 2-seat sports car a larger body with Formula 1-inspired styling. Available in 3-trims, the 2007 models carryover the upgrades from 2006. The SLK280 offers a 3.0L 24-valve V-6 with 228 horsepower. The 3.5-liter V-6 on the SLK350 produces 268 horses and the top model, the SLK55 AMG, pumps-up a whopping 355 ponies out of the AMG-built 5.4-liter V-8. This model year, 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatics are transmission selections, and 4-wheel multilink suspension fluidly responds to every twist in the road. All models have ABS and traction control, head and thorax side-impact airbags and optional Airscarf neck-warmers.

2007 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

Seductive lines, retractable aluminum hardtop roof, race-bred reflexes, and V-8 or V-12 engines are only a few elements that define the 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL models. For '07, the SL is available in 4-editions: SL550, SL55 AMG, SL600 Roadster and SL65 AMG. Speaking of the SL65 AMG, it’s equipped with a 604 horsepower, twin-turbocharged V-12 that delivers an astonishing 738 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. Depending on the SL model, standard features include 18- or 19-inch wheels, and either a 5-or 7-speed automatic gearbox. Inside the premium 2-seat convertible cockpit is hand-fitted Nappa leather upholstery; exotic wood trims, and available steering wheel gearshift paddles. The SL-Class with optional Panorama roof has a more rakish roofline when seen from outside. Within, occupants have an expansive overhead view through a panel of heat-reflecting safety glass 5 mm thick, with a mesh inner sunshade that is easy to deploy.

2007 Mercedes-Benz S Class

Redesigned for the 2006 model year, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class receives a new addition for 2007. Larger than past generation the ’07 S-Class rear-wheel drive sedan retains the status of being the flagship in the Mercedes model lineup. New for 2007 is the availability of the S-Class 4Matic, combining the luxury of the S-Class sedans with the traction of 4Matic permanent all-wheel drive. As a full-time system, the 4Matic differential splits power between the front and rear wheels in a fixed ratio 45 to 55 percent. It is available on the diesel-powered S 320 CDI and V-8 motivated S 450 and S 500. Other power plants are the 382-horsepower V-8 in the S550, and V-12s for the S600 and S65 with 510 and 604 horses, respectively. Depending on model, a 5-speed or 7-speed automatic transmission is standard, and while driving the S-Class suspension automatically adjusts for load leveling and firmness. Interiors offers incredible luxury and spaciousness for 5-passengers, plus a luggage compartment that can hold a respectable 19.8 cubic feet of cargo.

With sleek, wind-shaped form, the 2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class sport utilities vehicle series elevates the art of travel in 3-different models. Completely re-designed and re-engineered last year, the 2nd-generation Mercedes-Benz M-Class sport utility vehicle is the embodiment of bold styling, enhanced comfort and legendary 5-star safety. For 2007, the premium midsize SUV offer sports-car spirit in 4-models, ranging from the 268-horsepower ML350, up to the ML63 AMG with an incredible 503 horses. The ML63 achieves 0 to 60 mph in a breathtaking 4.8 seconds. There is also the 215 hp diesel engine on the ML320 CDI that yields up to 30 percent better fuel economy than comparable gasoline engines. All models come with standard 7-speed automatic transmissions, and Touch Shift fingertip controls via rocker buttons behind the upper steering-wheel spokes. Mercedes-Benz GL-Class

Mercedes-Benz's new highlight in the luxury SUV market segment is the 2007 GL-Class. Available in 5-and 7-seat cabin layouts, the GL-Class premium off-roader offers excellent handling both on and off-pavement. The permanent all-wheel drive from Mercedes-Benz provides the GL-Class with superior handling whatever the conditions. Alongside the 224 horsepower V-6 engine in the GL 320 CDI, the range of diesel models includes the new-generation high-performance V-8 diesel in the GL 420 CDI, which has an output of 306 horsepower. In addition there is the GL 450 with the 340 horsepower, 4.6-litre V-8 and a 5.5-liter, 388 horsepower V-8 motivated GL500. All GL-class engine variants come standard with a 7-speed automatic transmission.

2007 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

For a brief time surrounding the announcement of the GL-Class SUV, it was rumored that the long running G-Class would be discontinued. Legions of fans of the military-like G-Class were greatly relieved when it was announced that it would carry on its blend of rugged off-road ability and abundant luxury into the foreseeable future. For 2007 G-Class is in its 27th year of production. Two versions are available here including the G 500 with a 296 horsepower V-8 and the G 55 AMG which features a 476 horse supercharged V-8. Both have new 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmissions. Also new for 2007 are bi-xenon headlights which include fog lamps and cornering lights.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class

For 2007 the Mercedes-Benz E-Class receives a freshening up as they say. New frontal styling and taillights give the sedans and wagons a new look. Some 2,000 parts are new or revised. Among the updates area Neck-Pro head restraints for front occupants which have sensors that move them forward in the event of a crash. The new Pre-Safe system adjusts front air bags and seat belts to an impending collision. Model/engine choices include the E 320 CDI 208-hp turbocharged diesel, E350 286 horsepower, V-6 and E 550 382 horsepower V-8. All wheel drive 4Matic versions are available on the latter pair. The current E-Class has been in production more than 4-years and worldwide sales are approaching the million mark.

Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class

Stunning coupe styling in lengthened sedan form best describes the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, which debuted in 2005. For 2007, attention is focused under the hood where three newly developed engines will reside. Powering the CLS 350 CGI is the world’s first gasoline engine with piezoelectric direct injection and spray guided combustion. It produces 292 horsepower, while consuming 10 per cent less fuel. A new 388 horsepower, V-8 from the S Class motivates the CLS 500 and 514 horses are available from the CLS 63 AMG. There is also an all-new 224 horsepower diesel V-6 for the CLS 320 CDI. All engines have one thing in common, they route their horsepower through the 7-speed 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission. Shifting paddles on the steering wheel are optional. Stopping is also an M-B priority as CLS-Class cars now come with flashing brake lights that attract attention. A new adaptive brake system adds electronic controls to the hydraulic system. Luxurious interior seats 4-passengers, and the luggage area is a respectable 15.8-cubic feet of room.

2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK

The 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK coupe and convertible models take alluring design and fine driving to astonishing heights with an aggressive look and equally impressive power. Engines range from the 268 horsepower 3.5 liter V-6, through a 5.5-liter V-8 with 382 horses, and up to the 475 horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8.
