So now that you’ve cashed out anywhere from $340,000 - $403,000 on your new Rolls-Royce Phantom or let’s say $407,000 for a new Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, you want to take it a step further and differntiate yourself from your tea-sipping, golf playing friends. Well how about the ‘Spirit of Ecstacy,’ the mascot that sits on the front of ever Rolls-Royce, being decked out in jewels.
We don’t know how we missed it but a Manhattan based jewler, Kemanjian, was at this year’s New York Auto Show, displaying his latest creation; a one-of-a-kind diamond studded Rolls-Royce mascot that he designed exclusively for Manhattan Motorcars.
“What we did was to add 150 carats of D color VVS1 quality diamonds and some fancy intense yellow diamonds on the wings,” said Kemanjian.

As if the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe wasn’t already luxurious enough, Mansory felt it could be better. The tuner revealed the new Mansory Bel Air at the Geneva Motor Show this week offer, what they say, is ‘luxury as far as the eye can see.’
Designers created a completely newly developed extravagant body-styling kit as well as prominent mirror-finished aluminum wheel rims. The new front apron gives the Drophead Coupe front end a more prominent look along with new side sills and a new lift-reducing rear end.
Mansory also teamed up with Brembo to offer a high-performance braking system with 6-piston calipers in conjunction with 412 mm diameter discs at the front in addition to 4-piston calipers with 380 mm diameter discs at the rear. Unfortunately Mansory thought the V12 473hp engine was powerful enough.

At the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, Rolls-Royce undraped a sleek number called 101EX that previewed a production coupe which we were all so convinced would be called Corniche. We were right about the car reaching production – it starts in Chichester UK in June of this year – but the car carries the name of Phantom Coupe.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe debuted as a 2008 model and is essentially a restyled two-door, four-seat, open-air version of Phantom sedan. It is the second new model to come from the legendary British brand since BMW took full control of Rolls-Royce in 2003. A fixed-roof coupe is expected to round out the model line later in 2008.
As with the Phantom sedan, the Drophead (that’s Brit-speak for “convertible”) Coupe is an amalgam of German engineering and English stateliness. Its aluminum space-frame body and engine come from Germany, while the interior trim and final assembly hail from England.

Rolls-Royce is working on filling the gap between the Phantom and the BMW 7-Series by introducing a baby Phantom sometime right before 2010. Since Bentley has done very well by targeting customers with the Continental Flying Spur and a price tag of less than $200,000, Rolls-Royce will now be hoping to do the same...

Rolls-Royce is set to "complete" its lineup of super-chic Phantom sedans with the introduction of the production variant of the 101EX coupé starting next year. And it seems like the folks at Goodwood are showing some excitement about their latest Rolls.
"With this car we wanted to emphasise the performance potential of the 6.75 litre V12 engine and the effortless experience that it delivers. Whilst never overtly sporty, Rolls-Royce is a brand that has always offered owners a powerful and refined drive combined with, as Sir Henry Royce described it, a bit of fizz," Chief Designer Ian Cameron said in a statement to the press.....

Rolls-Royce has confirmed that it'll be releasing a production version of the Phantom-based 101EX concept coupe seen at the 2006 Geneva motor show. The announcement comes a day after BMW chairman Norbert Reithofer announced that a coupe will be joining the Rolls-Royce lineup as part of the company's new strategic direction.
The yet-unnamed coupe will be slightly shorter than the Phantom, with its suspension and chassis slightly retuned to place more emphasis on the driver -- within the constraints of being a Rolls-Royce. The 6.75-liter V-12 will be unchanged from its 453-horsepower and 531-lb-ft output in the Phantom and Drophead Coupe. Price will be somewhere between the Phantom's $340,000 and the Drophead Coupe's $407,000, with production beginning next summer.
