For 2010, the Acura TL is once again offered with a manual gearbox. But you're probably going to have to special-order it, or at least do some calling and searching to even find one. Why? Because even among luxury sport sedans, the number of people opting for a manual transmission is very low—typically less than five percent for many models that offer it.

Cutting through marketing hype, the Acura RDX is one of relatively few crossover vehicles that actually do feel like agile sport sedans—especially if you'd like to keep the price well under $40k. That is, provided you're one of those people who won't consider wagons like the BMW 328i Sport Wagon, Cadillac CTS Wagon, or upcoming Acura TSX Sport Wagon. Both the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 are both well over the $40k mark after you add just an option or two.

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being one of the first people to take ownership of a newly designed car…in the case, we’re speaking about the 2009 Acura TL. When they first started rolling off of the assembly line in Marysville, Ohio, supply was scarce.

For as long as we can remember, the midsize luxury car has always been about one thing: How much excess can be squeezed between four doors? You can almost hear the engineers brainstorming in their board meetings about adding yet another speaker here or a posh doodad there, neglecting to equally doll out the internals.

The all-new 2009 Acura TSX is a good and decent car, reasonably fun to drive and loaded with high-tech gadgets and more room than the outgoing TSX. It’s a smart deal that’s bigger and bolder than ever before. So why that empty feeling after my test drive? Read on.

Stylish But Comfortable Results: Acura describes the shape as an “urban sports utility vehicle.” I think by this they mean something that handles like a sedan, but showcases the crossover trend with a higher eye-point or driving position.

The 2009 Acura TL has been spied enough times to rival the Chevrolet Camaro and Nissan GT-R, and even though Acura has already released a teaser of the TL ahead of its official launch, the overly airbrushed glamour shot doesn't accurately reflect what the TL will look like in the flesh.

We've seen plenty of shots of the Honda/Acura NSX hangin' 'round the 'Ring, but unlike previous photos, the crew at Cartribe was able to catch a brief glimpse of the cloaked mule's interior. A clearer view of the gauges reveals a clean chronograph-like arrangement, with large numerals framed by chrome rings.

The 2009 Acura TL is coming this fall, and Acura has released the first official image of the car. Acura's love-it-or-hate-it new shield-grille face is affixed to the front end of the new sedan, which also sports thin, slanted headlamps and a pair of angular lower intakes. A pronounced accent line sweeps down from back to front, where it leads directly into a very pronounced wheel arch. Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to see the car's posterior.
