Built at BMW’s Spartanburg, SC production plant, the 2007 Z4 Roadsters and Coupe sports cars consists of three models, all powered by a variation of the 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine. The 3.0i Roaster produces 215 horsepower, the 3.0si Coupe increases to 225 horses, and the 3.0si Roadster pumps-out 255. Each is fitted to a 6-speed manual gearbox., or optional 6-speed automatic with shift paddles on the steering wheel. All Z4s wear standard run-flat performance tires and state-of-the-art stability electronics. Large 17-inch wheels and tires are stock, while 18-inchers come with the 3.0si Sport Package. New for 2007 is a Tire Pressure Monitor, and Saddle Brown leather for the two seat cockpit.. Introduced last year, the fastback Coupe offers a larger cargo area. Easy-to-operate manual softtop with heated glass rear window comes on the Roadster, with removable hardtop optional.
