Fun in the sun is at the heart of the 2007 Mini Convertibles. A fully automatic top with a heated glass rear window comes standard on the Mini Convertibles. However a truly innovative feature of the convertible top is an integrated power sliding sunroof feature. The sunroof allows for open-air motoring and can be opened or closed while traveling at speeds of up to 75 miles-per-hour. From completely closed to fully open, the top operation takes only 15-seconds. When down, much of the top recesses below the rear deck, resulting in a very clean look and eliminating the need for a tonneau cover. With new color and option choices, the ‘07 MINI Convertibles holds Base Prices to 2006 levels. A chain-driven, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, with 115 horsepower, is mounted transversely for more cabin space. Connected to the engine is either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. The powertrain setup enables the Mini to sprint from 0-to 60-MPH in 8.9 seconds. There is 21.4-cubic feet of cargo room with rear seatbacks down, or the interior can hold up to 4-adults in comfort.
