Improvements for the 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis include a simplified lineup of two trim levels — GS and LS — that are comprehensively equipped, as well as a sophisticated Palm Beach Edition package. The Palm Beach Edition includes side-impact air bags, luxury upgrades and new exterior color treatments, including three two-tone offerings. All of the 6-passenger Grand Marquis 4-door sedans offer a spacious trunk that holds 20.6 cubic feet of luggage.
Powered by a 4.6-liter V-8, the 224 horses are directed to the rear-wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive. When ordered with dual exhausts, the engine output climbs to 239 horsepower. Four-wheel disc ABS is standard, and Marquis robust frame has been further strengthened with the addition of hydroformed front rails and redesigned crossmembers. Options include an Audiophile 6-disc CD changer; power moonroof; leather-trimmed seats; heated front seats; 16-inch chrome wheels, heated color-keyed mirrors and perimeter alarm. Mercury first introduced the Grand Marquis series of sedans in 1975, and with nearly 3 million units sold since, has become the best-selling Mercury ever.
